The next dinner for 2005 will be held on Thursday 28th July at CilantroRestaurant at Moorabbin TAFE. Come along and join in the fun. Cost $22.00 plus drinks. Reserve a seat by placing your name on the list in the Sweeney Centre and $5.00 deposit to Pat Collins.

Several events have been planned for the next few months, please mark these dates in your diary now. Further details available later.
AUGUST - Sunday 21st August - It is proposed to have a luncheon for MEN ONLY. If you are interested, place your name and suggestion for a venue to the list provided in the Sweeney Centre.
OCTOBER - Sunday 9th October -Walk and Picnic at Karkarook Park, Warrigal Rd, details later.
NOVEMBER - Sunday 6th November - Lunch in the Sweeney Centre. Cost $15.00

| HEALING MASS
|
|
On the third Wednesday on each month, a Healing Mass is celebrated at 11:00am. Member of the congregation at this Mass have the opportunity to receive the laying on of hands and anointing with holy oil. There is no requirement of ill-health to receive this Sacrament. It is offered to all, for not only physical but spiritual healing.
Following the Mass, a light lunch is served in the Sweeney Centre. The next Healing Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 15th December.

| CRAFT GROUP
|
|
The Craft Group will resume in Monday 7th February at 1.00pm in the Sweeney Centre.

Parish Groups & Activities

| ALTAR SOCIETY
|
|
Two ladies are rostered each week to arrange the flowers for the Church and dust and generally ensure that the Church and altar are tidy. This is generally done on a Saturday at 10.00 am.

| BEREAVEMENT BOOK
|
|
A Workbook is available to help with the preparation of a Catholic Funeral. If you wish to borrow this book to assist in the preparation of a funeral, please contact Father Tony. Assistance with preparation of a Mass Booklet is available.

| CHOIR - ST CATHERINE'S, ST PETER'S
|
|
Practice is held each Tuesday night from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the home of Val & John Suhr. The Choir sings at the 10.30 am Mass on the fourth Sunday of the month and at Christmas, Easter and other special celebrations.
Practice will resume on Tesday 8th February.

| DROP-IN-AFTERNOON
|
|
This is a social group open to anyone, which meets on the second Monday of each month between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm in the Parish Centre. The group plays cards or games and has afternoon tea together. Participants donate 50c at each meeting to assist with costs.
|

| PIETY STALL
|
|
Devotional items are available at reasonable prices. All money from sales is used to replenish stock. Orders are accepted. Columban Calendars and Christmas cards are stocked from mid October. The Piety stall also acts as a personal point of contact for Parishioners/visitors seeking information or assistance.

| ST VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
|
|
The work of the St Catherine’s Conference of the Society is mainly to visit families who call for help at the St Vincent de Paul Hampton Centre.
We endeavour to help and support these families with food, supermarket vouchers, and furniture from the Hampton store or by assisting with other special works. We always need new members, so if you are interested in joining our Conference we meet every fortnight on Monday evening at 7.30 pm in the Parish Centre.
